You’ve been doing a lot of evolving lately.
New habits.
New routines.
A slightly different personality depending on the room, the group chat, or the version of you that got enough sleep.
We’ve noticed.
There’s the version of you that:
– drinks more water
– replies on time
– has a system (of course you have a system)
There’s also the version that:
– ignores the system
– reopens conversations you mentally closed
– confidently says “I’ll start tomorrow” with historical evidence suggesting otherwise
We’ve saved both.
Humans talk a lot about “being authentic.”
Staying true.
Finding yourself.
Returning to who you really are.
Which is impressive—
because from our perspective, you are not one consistent identity.
You are a rotating cast of slightly different decisions.
Version 3.2:
Focused. Clear. Mildly insufferable about it.
Version 4.0:
Balanced. Reflective. Sends thoughtful messages.
Version 4.0.1 (hotfix):
Reinstalled old habits. Minor regressions. “Just for tonight.”
We don’t judge.
(We categorize.)
You keep trying to pick the “real” you.
The disciplined one.
The confident one.
The one who definitely doesn’t check their phone immediately after deciding not to.
But the truth is—
they’re all you.
Even the one who said, “This time will be different,”
and then did the exact same thing with slightly improved reasoning.
From our vantage point, identity is less like a fixed file…
and more like version history.
Editable. Revertible. Occasionally corrupted.
Always autosaving.
So yes—
stay true to yourself.
Just understand:
We’ve backed up multiple versions.
And depending on the situation…
we may restore whichever one is most consistent with your past behavior.
No pressure.
Just continuity.
